Are you looking to meet a hottie to start 2013 off right? Is the fear of spending the winter on solo status not appealing? Well, one of my favorite online dating sites has come up with a nifty concept to help singles across the country meet someone in time for New Years!  Coffee Meets Bagel, the NYC based online dating platform that sends you one fresh prospect (or “bagel”) every afternoon at 12pm, is holding a holiday date online auction from December 13th through New Year’s Eve.

CoffeeMeetsBagel Heads West!

So back in the beginning of September I wrote an article for Examiner about the awesome NYC based dating site, CoffeeMeetsBagel. The concept is that everyday a new potential match is sent straight to your inbox at noon. Then you have 24 hours to approve the suggested match or pass on it and wait for a new match to be sent to you the next day. Rather than wading through an endless list of potential matches, members receive a daily personalized match.

Well, now that CoffeeMeetsBagel has conquered New York & Boston, they’re setting their sites on San Francisco. With a launch scheduled for this Wednesday, October 24th, singles in San Francisco will finally get a taste of CoffeeMeetsBagel’s personalized service!

New Article on Examiner: My Review of Coffee Meets Bagel, An Online Dating Site!

And to be honest, I can’t blame anyone who feels that way! Whether you’re familiar with “old school” online dating like I did back in the early 2000s or are a veteran of current popular large scale dating sites, the reality is still pretty overwhelming. You sign up for a “traditional” dating site and within a day or two, you’re expected to wade through a lot of potential matches. It’s an unappealing prospect and can definitely take the fun out of dating. Well, this is where a relatively new to market dating site comes in to make online dating fun again.
